The life of a raindrop must be thrilling. From a contiguous sea, hugging a planet with it’s many interlinked arms. Rising, becoming a cloud - a creche for raindrops to be, separated from the whole for a time. Condensing into a droplet, gathering together from the many into an individual with a boundary.
Hurtling downward to anywhere.
Maybe a mountaintop to spend a few millenia among the snowflakes and ice. Or landing on a cat’s ear and being flicked away to spend a sabattical traveling the waterways of a city.
Returning to the ocean to become the whole again.
